A highly efficient and responsive Counsel, Evan specialises in commercial, equity, insolvency, real property and building and construction law.
He is regularly briefed by the NSW Crown Solicitor's Office to advise and appear for the Chief Commissioner of State Revenue in state revenue matters.
Evan has a particular interest in insolvency law and regularly advises and appears for liquidators and trustees on issues arising in insolvency and the recovery of assets for creditors. He also appears for liquidators and trustees in public examinations of directors, bankrupts and associates in the Supreme Court and Federal Court of Australia.
Prior to being called to the Bar, Evan practised as a Senior Lawyer specialising in commercial litigation, predominately acting for liquidators and commercial clients. He has completed postgraduate studies through the University of Southern Queensland and Insolvency Practitioners Association of Australia (now the Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association) and holds a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Commerce (majoring in Finance and Accounting) and was awarded the Dean's Certificate in Macroeconomics and Microeconomics.
