Jonathan specialises in public and regulatory law, commercial litigation and intellectual property. He was appointed Queen's Counsel in 2014 and has acted for major public entities and corporations in jurisdictions around Australia and internationally.
Jonathan has been Counsel Assisting on numerous Commissions of Inquiry and Reviews including of the Victorian Parole System (2013) and the Commonwealth Home Insulation Program (2014). He is currently Counsel assisting the Hon Ian Callinan AC in his review of the New South Wales Liquor Laws.
Before being called to the Bar in 2002, Jonathan was with Minter Ellison Lawyers as a commercial litigation and intellectual property solicitor.
Jonathan holds a PhD from Edinburgh University, a Bachelor of Laws (Hons I) from Sydney University and a Bachelor of Arts from the Australian National University.
