Oliver is a barrister who specialises in State taxation and revenue matters representing both private clients and revenue authorities.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Oliver held a number of senior leadership and technical roles at Revenue NSW (formerly known as Office of State Revenue) and has over 17 years of experience in State tax law.
As well as extensive experience in private rulings and objections, Oliver has appeared and advised on complex revenue and taxation issues particularly in the field of payroll tax, duties, land tax, surcharge purchaser duty and surcharge land tax.
Oliver is a committee member of the Taxation Institute of Australia / Revenue NSW Liaison Committee and an Editor of LexisNexis In-House Counsel.
Oliver holds a Masters of Economics, Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Economics.
