Nicholas came to the New South Wales Bar in 2017. He conducts trials in courts and appeals in intermediate appellate courts throughout Australia.
Nicholas is a commercial and equity barrister practicing in areas including insurance, disciplinary, professional liability, equity & trusts, insolvency, corporations and financial services.
Nicholas has a large practice in acting for (and against) insurers across a range of lines of insurance. He often acts for professionals in civil claims. He frequently acts for regulators in disciplinary proceedings.
Prior to coming to the Bar, Nicholas was a solicitor and in-house counsel specialising in insurance and financial services law.
Nicholas guest lectures at the University of Technology, Sydney. He has written papers (which are sometimes published in journals) and has presented on litigation, insurance law and ethics.
