Peter is a recognised expert in insurance law and disputation. He has over 30 years’ experience in insurance and reinsurance disputes, covering both general and life insurance. Peter’s expertise extends over a broad spectrum of insurance risk disputation including professional liability and directors’ and officers’ liability.
Peter was a partner of three major law firms, most recently Clayton Utz. Prior to that, he was a partner of Deacons (now Norton Rose Fulbright) and before that, a partner of Abbott Tout.
Peter is an author of major insurance publications including Mann’s Annotated Insurance Contracts Act published by Thomson Reuters.
He is a former Adjunct Lecturer of the Faculty of Law at the University of Sydney and taught “Insurance Law and Risk” at undergraduate level for several years.
Peter was the recipient of the prestigious AILA Annual Law Prize in 2012 and more recently was made a Life Member of AILA.
