Scott practises in public law and commercial law proceedings and regularly appears unled and as junior counsel in State and Federal courts and tribunals.
He acts for publicly-listed companies, private companies, individuals and government.
Scott has a particular interest in taxation and revenue matters and is briefed by taxpayers, the Commissioner of Taxation, Deputy Commissioners of Taxation and the Chief Commissioner of State Revenue. Scott is a Fellow of the Tax Institute, a member of the International Fiscal Association and has contributed to the journal, Taxation in Australia.
Prior to being called to the Bar, Scott practised as a solicitor at a boutique litigation firm and at an international law firm. In 2012, he was associate to the Honourable Justice Logan RFD, Federal Court of Australia.
Scott holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Queensland.
Scott is currently enrolled in the Master of Taxation program at the University of Sydney.
