Ground Floor Wentworth Chambers welcomes applications to read on the floor.

We offer two readership positions each year, for a period of 12 months. During this period, readers are provided with their own room and floor fees are waived.

Due to high demand for accommodation on the floor, applicants are ordinarily selected 12 months in advance, for the May and September Bar Practice Course intakes. Applications can be made at any time however, and will be considered, if availability permits.

Successful applicants are required to have at least one tutor who is a member of the Ground Floor and if necessary, the Clerk can assist with selection of a suitable tutor.

We encourage applications to be accompanied by a covering letter enclosing a curriculum vitae, academic transcripts, references and details of any members of the Ground Floor they may have previously worked with.

Applications will be treated with the strictest of confidence.
